Keep Your “Ride” in Tip-Top Shape
You almost have to float a loan to put gas in your car these days! It’s more important than ever to keep your ride in tip-top shape—and in good running condition. So here are 3 tips to save you money and keep rolling along.
- Change your oil – It wears out and the general rule is to change it every 3,000 miles or every 90 days, whichever comes first.
- Change your air filter – Most cars today are fuel-injected. A dirty oil filter will impede acceleration; you’ll press harder on your gas pedal, and use more fuel.
- Keep tires inflated — If they are under-inflated, gas can be wasted (not to mention the wear and tear on your tires) so check your tire pressure monthly.
By keeping up to date on just these 3 tips, it will decrease your gas usage by 15% (or 10 bucks if you have a 20-gallon fuel tank).
